About Me
My training is in integrative transpersonal therapy. This means that I draw on multiple different therapeutic modalities when working with clients, allowing us to explore issues through a range of different lenses. The transpersonal element of my working style makes space for all of a person; body, mind and soul, whatever that might mean for you.
At the core of my practice is a belief that by allowing ourselves to be truly seen and held by another deep healing can begin. Therapy is a relationship, and trust takes time to develop. I am committed to building a container with my clients that feels safe enough for you to share all that you bring, the dark and the light.
I work in an embodied way. This means I may ask you to pay attention to how you are feeling physically in our sessions, and we will explore what that might reveal about your emotional landscape. I also utilise grounding techniques such as breathing exercises when appropriate.
I have a particular interest in intergenerational trauma, internal family systems and systemic constellation work. . This means we might explore patterns that may have been handed down between generations, begin unpicking the web of family relationships and the roles you might have taken on within those matrices, and working with the different ways we might have internalised voices from our childhood.
Prior to training as a therapist my academic background was in philosophy, and professionally I have worked in a range of different sectors in people orientated roles.
